What is mortgage protection insurance?

Odds are if you’re paying a mortgage, you’ve received offers for mortgage protection insurance. It comes in several forms, but it typically covers your mortgage if you lose your job or become disabled, or it pays off your mortgage when you die.

Mortgage Protection Insurance and Mortgage Protection Life Insurance is all the same…life insurance. It’s just repackaged to market it. Oftentimes, these policies are more expensive then regular term life insurance.

Many people confuse MPI with private mortgage insurance, or PMI. You’re required by law to get PMI if you put less than 20 percent down to purchase your home, it has nothing to do with disability, job loss, or death. It pays the bank if you’re foreclosed on.

Term Life Insurance Offers More Flexibility
So let’s see, if you buy mortgage protection insurance and die then you loan is paid off. What about the rest of the monthly bills? Childcare? The house isn’t everything. Wouldn’t you rather leave your family a lump sum of cash to do whatever they want with, rather than having a paid-off home with all of the equity stuck inside?

My advise, instead of buying overpriced mortgage protection insurance, is to check on competitive rates for term life insurance.

What is Cancer Insurance?

No one wants to experience a cancer diagnosis, but the fact is that the risk of getting cancer is great. In the United States, men have slightly less than a one in two lifetime risk of developing cancer; for women, the risk is a little more than one in three (Cancer Facts and Figures 2009, American Cancer Society).
A cancer/specified-disease insurance policy is designed to provide you with cash benefits during covered cancer treatments.
These types of insurance are relatively inexpensive; with the Aflac cancer plan, a whole family can be covered for less than $50 a month. Benefits are also paid for preventive exams such as mammograms, pap smears and other diagnostic tests.

A cancer/specified-disease insurance policy helps to protect your income and savings from expenses that aren’t covered by your major medical health insurance policy, including:

 Deductibles
 Experimental Cancer Treatment
 Out-of-network specialists
 Travel and lodging when treatment is far from home
 Child care and household help
 Normal living expenses, such as mortgage, gas bill, phone bill

Tips on Insuring Jewelry

Is your jewelry properly insured? The standard homeowners policy provides coverage on your jewelry for the perils insured against as described in the policy, such as fire, vandalism, theft, wind, etc. The policy does usually restrict coverage to only $2,500.

The best way to insure your jewelry is by adding a schedule of items to your homeowners policy. Each item of jewelry is specifically described on the schedule and a value and amount of insurance established.

Many times, the stone (diamond, for example) is just lost from the setting of the item of jewelry. This type of loss would be covered if the item was listed on a schedule. It would NOT be covered by the basic policy since “lost” is not a covered peril.

Insurance companies may require an appraisal or a bill of sale to verify the amount of insurance.
Commonly worn pieces of jewelry such as an engagement ring should be insured on a schedule. The cost is usually about $10 for every $1000 of insurance.

www.AllAroundInsured.com / Umbrella Insurance

Umbrella liability insurance is so named because it acts like an umbrella, sitting on top of your auto and homeowners or renters liability policies to provide extra protection.

Some examples of where umbrella coverage often comes into play:

  • An auto accident in which you are sued under your auto insurance policy.
  • Your neighbor slips and falls on your property, and you are sued under your homeowners insurance.
  • A natural disaster in which another person’s property is damaged by, say, a tree on your property crashing down on their vehicle or home. This usually falls into the, “I thought that was covered by my homeowners policy” category.

Worried? You should be. With Americas love affair with lawsuits, you can’t afford to not have umbrella liability insurance.

Umbrella liability insurance pays $1 million, $2 million and sometimes even $5 million or more of a claim, on top of what your basic policies will pay. For the protection you get, umbrella liability coverage is not very expensive. Premiums are usually $200 to $300 a year for $1 million worth of coverage.

Another batch of amusing vehicle claim forms (strange but true….)

‘An invisible car came out of nowhere, struck my car and vanished.’

‘I am sure the old fellow would never make it to the other side of the road when I struck him.’

‘I collided with a stationary truck coming the other way.’

‘A pedestrian hit me and went under my car.’

‘The telephone pole was approaching and I was attempting to swerve out of its way when it struck the front end of my car’.

‘I didn’t think the speed limit applied after midnight’.

‘I collided with a stationary truck coming the other way.’

I hope life brings you much success.
Wishing you a very happy day, and don’t forget to SMILE…..!

How can Life Insurance supplement your retirement income?

www.AllAroundInsured.com Daniela Carrion 661-877-8002

The big boom has begun. An estimated 80 million baby boomers are heading into retirement according to the Social Security Administration.

Once the traditional resources—Social Security, 401(k), possibly a pension, and other investments—are factored in, will you have enough to support your dream retirement? Or is there “something” that needs to fill the gap?

That “something” can be cash value life insurance. Whether, universal life, indexed universal life, whole life, or variable universal life, it may be one of the most overlooked opportunities to help retirees supplement their retirement income.

Here’s how a cash value policy can help:.

It provides protection to growing families with its income tax-free death benefit while allowing for access to cash, in the event of an emergency or opportunity. And then, there’s the tax-deferred growth in cash value life insurance.

Here are some other key advantages to point out:

  • Tax-free cash flows. Life insurance can provide cash flows through a combination of withdrawals and policy loans.
  • No distribution requirements or penalties. Unlike qualified plans, there are no required minimum distributions at age 70 1/2. Also, income taken from life insurance is generally not subject to tax penalties before age 59 1/2.
  • No contribution limits. A life insurance policy may be funded with as much or as little as a client wants to pay in annual premiums.
  • Self completion. The death benefit of a life insurance policy can provide retirement income for a spouse if the insured dies before saving enough for retirement.

In sum, everyone wants to enjoy a comfortable retirement. Seriously consider the benefits of the cash value life insurance options.

Insurance SCV | www.AllAroundInsured.com | HotSpotSCV / Group Insurance Joke

Brought to you by www.AllAroundInsured.com
Selling group insurance made simple…..

A man walks into an insurance office and asks for a job.
“We don’t need any one,” they replied.
“You can’t afford not to hire me. I can sell anyone anytime any thing.”
“We have two prospects that no one has been able to sell. If you can sell just one, you have a job.”
He was gone for about two hours and returned and handed them two checks, one for a $80,000 policy and another for a $50,000 policy.
“How in the world did you do that,” they asked.
“I told you I’m the world’s best salesman, I can sell anyone anywhere anytime.”
“Did you get a urine sample?” they asked him.
“What’s that?” he asked. “Well, if you sell a policy over $40,000 the company requires a urine sample. Take these two bottles and go back and get urine samples.”
He was gone for about eight hours and then he walks in with two five gallon buckets, one in each hand. He sets the buckets down and reaches in his shirt pocket and produces two bottles of urine and sets them on the desk and says, “Here’s Mr. Brown’s and this one is Mr. Smith’s.”
“That’s good,” they said, “but what’s in those two buckets?”
“Well, I passed by the school house and they were having a state teachers convention and I sold them a group policy!”

www.AllAroundInsured.com / What is critical illness insurance?

Posted by allaroundinsured on August 19, 2010

What is Dread Disease or Critial Illness Insurance?

It is a secondary, or supplemental, insurance policy that can help to cover the medical expenses, out-of-pocket expenses, deductibles and co-pays, that are due to a particular serious illness.

This kind of insurance is not a replacement for more comprehensive insurance (such as a PPO or HMO), it provides extra coverage that goes along with your primary health insurance.

Most people choose to get this type of insurance if they have a family history of serious illnesses, others will start it “just in case”, because they fear that the medical bills associated with those diseases will be more expensive than they can handle, and will place an extreme financial burden on their family.

What kinds of illness does this type of insurance cover? Depending on the plans selected, they will cover cancer, heart attacks, strokes, kidney failure, major organ transplants, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, paralysis, blindness, brain tumors and brain surgery, and many more.

One of the most reliable, comprehensive and caring companies offering this type of insurance is AFLAC.

Insurance Companies hear it all….

The following statements were found in the records of Insurance Attorneys questioning  drivers who really shouldn’t be on the road:

Q: Where was the location of the accident?
A: Approximately milepost 499.
Q: And where is milepost 499?
A: Probably between milepost 498 and 500.

Q: What gear were you in at moment of the impact?
A: Gucci sweats and Reeboks.

Q: Trooper, when you stopped the defendant, were your red and blue lights flashing?
A: Yes.
Q: Did the defendant say anything when she got out of her car?
A: Yes, sir.
Q: What did she say?
A: What disco am I at?

Q: Did you blow your horn or anything?
A: After the accident?
Q: Before the accident.
A: Sure, I played for 10 years. I even went to school for it.

Hope life brings you much joy and laughters.

Who says insurance coverage is boring ?
Let’s take a little look at the wilder side of insurance….

Sell ’em for Parts….
One of the most famous sub-categories is body part insurance. Plenty of people have heard the stories of singers like Bruce Springsteen or Celine Dion ensuring their voices (or vocal chords) or actresses like Heidi Klum, Tina Turner and Betty Grable insuring their legs.
When Promotional Stunts Go Wrong….
There is insurance to back up various corporate promotional stunts. Perhaps you remember when Pepsi had a contest with a potential payout of $1 billion. The chances of winning the $1 billion were extremely small, however Berkshire Hathaway stood behind Pepsi just in case.
These do not even have to be large promotions. A Nebraska car dealership once offered a $10,000 rebate to buyers who bought a car in December if it snowed on Christmas Day. Lloyds of London wrote a policy worth $1.5 million for that promotion, and it certainly made the local news at the time.
Just Plain Weird….
Of course, some of these offers are not nearly so squeaky clean. Singer David Lee Roth took out paternity suit insurance from so that he could live the rock star life with one fewer worry.
And lastly, more recently, Berkshire Hathaway wrote an insurance policy for a French client whereby they would have paid out about $30 million if France won the World Cup.
